How lovely to see autumn colours as we gear up for the Arizona summer (90 degrees on this "cool" spring day). The colours are more intense here than they are in the coastal cities, or even in the Dandenongs in Victoria, because we are about 2000 feet above sea level with much colder nights. If you ever come to Canberra you will feel the chill in the air that is generally lacking in areas closer to sea level. The frosts serve to intensify the colour in the leaves.Alicehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10901064145483995261noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10597769.post-1145936126845690462006-04-25T13:35:00.000+10:002006-04-25T13:35:00.000+10:00I love fall colors! Ross and I both agreed that we couldn't remember seeing the trees turn like that in our area when we lived over there. Is it because those trees aren't native to the country? I seem to remember you saying that.
You've outdone yourself with these photos. Really beautiful. I left a comment recently, so here I am again having another go.

Beautiful pictures. Autumn seems to have come very suddenly to you. It seems no time at all since you were writing about how hot it was. The colour in the trees is spectacular, love the pinks and greens.

Hope you’re feeling well. I haven’t forgotten that I have mail to answer to you. I’ve been searching out an old photograph that you may be interested in. Its not a very good quality, its deteriorated over the years, but I’ve just bought a scanner, so when I’ve worked out how it operates. I’ll scan it and send it to you.

That’s really good news about Edna. Good wishes for her speedy recovery, as you say ‘stronger every day’ may that continue. I’ll be in touch.
Lots of Love - MarionReflection Through The Seasonshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10081179712025990011noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10597769.post-1145859045200771562006-04-24T16:10:00.000+10:002006-04-24T16:10:00.000+10:00Wendy - these trees are all in public parks except...Wendy - these trees are all in public parks except for the Golden Ashes. Apart from going out to an aerobics class this morning, I haven't been out. Really should be going up to the Dandenongs to see the autumn colors up there. Maybe Wednesday. There's a wonderful park, Pirianda Gardens, up there that is on a gigantic hillside, and it's devoted to specimen trees, with lots of space between each one to enjoy them fully. You can see it from across a valley. Every year we keep meaning to go back for another visit.Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04456736523331076619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10597769.post-1145757438309159742006-04-23T11:57:00.000+10:002006-04-23T11:57:00.000+10:00What a wonderful pictures, Alice.
