I'm a little biased but I think that Aussie trees have so much more going for them - the eucalpyts are so varied and insanely beautiful and who can pass up the opportunity to tear a sheet of paperbark off a melaleuca.

I'm looking forward to seeing the next instalment.Stuarthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04563058550582469975noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10597769.post-86995789574354987872007-08-21T21:29:00.000+10:002007-08-21T21:29:00.000+10:00Hi Alice ~~ I, too, love treesespecially the beaut...Hi Alice ~~ I, too, love trees
especially the beautiful eucalypts
Thank you for sharing these photos with us. The only time I saw trees not native to my country was when I went to visit the Royal Botanical Gardens near Toronto last summer. They had many trees from various countries and it really was very fascinating to see the difference in the bark and leaves!! xoxCarole Buranthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05497329055251626140noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10597769.post-77709198160842475022007-08-21T06:34:00.000+10:002007-08-21T06:34:00.000+10:00Lovely pics.Lovely pics.meggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00061112627819270427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10597769.post-67264762286598178732007-08-21T02:22:00.000+10:002007-08-21T02:22:00.000+10:00What lovely Monday you've had. I think that is what would make me the most homesick too, the look, smell and feel of the Australian trees.Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04456736523331076619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10597769.post-77651635749993077202007-08-20T21:18:00.000+10:002007-08-20T21:18:00.000+10:00Oh what a tease you are! Wish I could smell the Aussie bush and hear all the bird and insect sounds. I clicked the link and had a quick look, but must go back later to read and see more.
That's a wonderful picture of the rosella, as are all your beautiful tree photos too.
Thanks for taking us along Alice :)
Glad you had such a nice trip.Kerrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18362584475435433892noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10597769.post-82929589186776415352007-08-20T18:32:00.000+10:002007-08-20T18:32:00.000+10:00I do love trees too (and there will also be a post...I do love trees too (and there will also be a post in due time) and therefore I like your post very much (...and the link you gave).
