I know these are nowhere near as thick and heavy as those we experienced in England, and although those very heavy frosts are beautiful to look at, I'm quite happy for them stay over there.
By 11 o'clock it looked like the fog wanted to keep us company for much of the day so I took a walk around the hill, mainly to look for spider webs, but didn't find any. So, I just had to be satisfied with these wintery views.
This is my usual 'sunset' view.
I knew there was a sun up there somewhere.
I was thinking of you guys when I saw the weather forecast 2 days ago, but now that I've seen these pictures I've had to pick up my jaw...bbrrr, even I'm cold looking at them down here in Hobart *grin*

I was inside tucked up under a blanket in front of the fire. It was cold here too. I have even posted about it on my new blog...coming soon. When I took Sophie to school this morning, the frost was amazing.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures as always...even if it shows how cold it was over there! lol Here in Canada when we think of Australia, we assume it's always hot over there, even in your winter months, but now I see it does get cold enough!! I always feel so sorry for the plants when frost hits.

ReplyDeleteEvery time you post pictures of your yard I get a better sense of what it all looks like and how everything is situated. It's a wonderfully interesting yard and you and Richard have made it all so beautiful with all your hard work.

ReplyDeleteOh Alice when I first came across your blog you've posted spring flower photos and we've had autumn and then a cold winter overhere and now it's viceversa, that's crazy to see and I wouldn't have thought that you get frost, well you've already told me about, but now after seeing your photos I'm starting to realise it's true!
