... the vegetables start encroaching into the flower beds, since most of the vegie beds are planted now. The last bed has bean, lettuce and spinach seeds (all of various types). Richard is quite specific about what goes in each bed. There are five beds and he operates on a five-year rotational basis to help eliminate diseases caused by planting the same crop in the same soil in consecutive years. Seems to be working, too.
On the left side of the path are 8 little lettuce that I dug up out of my friend's gravel driveway.
One of the plum prunings helping to hold up the peas. I don't really expect the blossom to produce fruit.
The corn may not be 'as high as an elephant's eye' (Oklahoma) but the Sugar peas certainly are. Snow peas are shorter but cropping well.
I crop rotate my vegie garden too as well as companion plant. Your snow peas look like mine did before the wild winds.
