HAPPY BIRTHDAY ...
Tanya ...
... and Richard ...
... TODAY.
I hope you both have a wonderful day.
With lots of love from Frances/Mum/'Alice'
( Tanya is nursing (holding) Michelle's daughter, Zoe, about 5 years ago.)
Oh mother! Thank you, but. Did you SEARCH for the most hideous photos you could find?? Maybe you should note that in the top right (where I am stealing mulberries from Nelson Mandela's house in Soweto) I had no hair. And all the ones where my hair is ORANGE - was the baldness growing out. There needs to be some excuse for such foulness....
A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO RICHARD AND TANYA!!! Such beautiful family pictures Alice. Tanya....the bald, and then orange head/hair sounds like a subject that needs to be explained on your blog!! :) For all the yanks reading this post.....'nursing' means 'holding' in Aussie speak. I got myself into a funny situation when my youngest was born over here in the US because 'nursing' here means breastfeeding :) I asked a visiting lady...would you to 'nurse' the baby? She said, 'Oh, I don't think I'm properly equipped!' It was an amusing moment :) There are some funny differences in the language!
Thats funny, the nursing bit..... I was questioning that too....and Tanya those pictures are not hideous.....there precious.... just so Richard isn't slighted, his pictures were precious too.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TANYA AND RICHARD...
Being a Yank/Canuck, I would have interpeted nursing as breastfeeding. However I know now to ask when something doesn't quite sound right. Glad Kerri mentioned that. Funny all the little diferences.
Tanya dear - I didn't have to SEARCH for hideous photos - they're everywhere.... just kidding!
I hope you realise that now that the whole world has photographic evidence of your crime of theft against Nelson Mandela, you will never be able to return to South Africa!
I hope your birthday celebration was a good one. We'll drink a toast to you on Thursday night when we go out for dinner for Dad's birthday. Love you - XXX
I meant to say 'When our OLDEST (that would be Kylie) was born over here in the US. Our youngest (Kathy) was born in OZ. And I left out ....'like...to nurse the baby?' Half asleep perhaps :)
