My Mothers' Day gift arrived late in the afternoon. I was relaxing and watching a DVD when Richard stuck his head through the doorway and barked, "Get your camera!" Never one to miss a photo opportunity, I rushed outside and began snapping madly.
I think this 'gift' was well worth waiting for, don't you?
Some of these photos have been cropped a little - I was in such a hurry to capture everything before it disappeared that I didn't consider the content too much - but none of them have been colour enhanced.
It was on Mothers' Day last year that Richard gave me the camera. What better way to celebrate its first anniversary.
Wow!!!!!!!! Those pictures just take my breath away.
ReplyDeleteHappy Mother's Day - I hope it was a good one.
Think you got the perfect mothers day gift! breathtaking is right... lucky you!
ReplyDeleteAlice, you did a superb job despite being rushed. My favorites are the ones with just the trees sillouetted against the sky. They'd make excellent wallpapers for the desktop.
ReplyDeleteSometimes towards sunset at our bush block I remember to look to the east and am often rewarded with a view of the tops of trees seemingly set on fire with the sun - nice contrast to the lower branches in darkness. I don't think that would come out as nicely as the photos you've taken though.
It must have been the same time that i yelled for Marcel to come outside as the light on the mountains was amazing!! The sunset was on the other side so we didn't really see it.
ReplyDeleteHow beautiful! Thanks for sharing "Divine Art" from your side of the world. I'm glad that Richard gave you a camera for Mother's Day last year.
