Luca is three.

This is our youngest grandchild.

His name is Luca and he is three years old today.

He is a gorgeous little boy and so much fun.

He is on holiday in Townsville at the moment with his family.

A Different Perspective

Today, rather than just filming the sunset itself, I tried to make more of the reflected light and also use the trees to enhance the overall scene. Although I began my walk at 4.00pm, it was already too dark on the shady side of the hill to take good photos.

Swans

No sunset photos tonight because there wasn't one. Well, I'm sure the sun did set because it's dark outside, but it is RAINING.

These photos were taken a couple of weeks ago after we had been to see the Constable exhibition. We were on our way to Mt Ainslie to take photos of the clouds but did a slight detour to photograph the black swans on Lake Burley Griffin.

Panorama

There were some wonderful clouds in the sky as I was driving home from shopping today. But by the time I'd put the shopping away and walked to the top of the hill behind our house, most of the best clouds had dispersed. Never one to miss a photo opportunity however, this series of photos was taken from the top of Mt Rodgers, one of the highest peaks in the ACT. You can see how dry the countryside is still.

Farewell to the Shortest Day.

At 4.45pm I thought I'd better go and take some photos of the sunset - even if there wasn't one - to celebrate the Shortest Day of the Year in the Southern Hemisphere.

Will this warm me up?

This sunset was taken on 27 May but I haven't posted it before. I thought that with all the chilly weather we've been having, perhaps I could pretend that the colour was radiating warmth.
