The white and cream violas, red camellias and the rocks are part of the Japanese garden display at Floriade. The sign (which you can't see) reads ... "Enter through the bamboo surrounds and traditional Japanese arch to enjoy the serene and austere Zen garden. The traditional rock garden is surrounded by thousands of pure white blooms representing the pebbles and sand traditionally used in this ancient gardening practice. In Japan each year the 'Tonami Tulip Festival' is held.
It's just spectacular! Thanks for sharing it with us!

I was here earlier, but Blogger was being difficult and wouldn't let me post a comment.
ReplyDeleteAnother beautiful display! Lovely picture of the pure, serene colors. Sure wish I could've been there with you to see all these wonderful plantings firsthand Alice! You've done a wonderful job taking all those pictures to share with us. It's the next best thing to being there. Thank you Alice.
Oooh Alice, I feel very honoured! What a clever use of white blooms, and the camelias are just like the ones in Kyoto. Thanks so much - a blog post for the two Val's, thats great!!
