The idle comments of a passionate Australian gardener, whose 'Growing Delight' is sharing the everyday bits'n'pieces with other lovers of gardening, and through photography, the beauty of the Australian landscape.
Here are a few more photos taken during our walk in one of the Nature Parks during the week, featuring a variety of barks, tree trunks, eucalyptus flowers and even an ant nest.
The fifth one down looks like it's dancing :) The bark colors are fascinating. I truly love gum trees. I can almost smell that forest Alice. I love the smell of the Aussie bush. Am I just imagining that there is a certain smell? It seems to be a vague memory muddling around in my mind. I think I just need some sleep. Great photos as usual Alice. Thanks for sharing your walk with us. That's a BIG ant's nest!
What a nice variety of tree barks. The 2nd one is so unusual.. have never seen that before. Speaking of ants nests, I remember sitting on one once LOL, it was one of the most horrifying experiences I have ever had! Argh
Alice, I don't know if you saw my answer to your question about changing over to the new Blogger...I have not chaned either as I get the very same message you do. I wonder if we will have to delete some of our earlier posts? I am just waiting to see what happens. If you find out anything, please let me know.
Groovy gum trees!
