Although I have been very much in blogging limbo
for the past few weeks I have, nevertheless,
thought of you all often.
I have read many more blogs than I have left
comments on, and I've really appreciated the fact
that so many of you have continued to
read and comment on my postings,
few and far between though they have been.
Now I'm sure you are all busily preparing for Christmas.
Many of you, I didn't even know this time last year.
That's the beauty of blogs; new friendships are made
and very soon you feel like you've know each other
for years.
While many of you will experience a white Christmas,
and others will be hoping for one (or maybe not),
here in Australia it is now summer time.
Most places will experience a hot Christmas Day,
and sadly, many areas of Victoria and Tasmania
will still be fighting off devastating bushfires.
Here in Canberra, I think the forecast is for a
fine, cloudy day around 24ÂșC, so that will be
very pleasant indeed (although possibly
rain would be even more pleasant,
especially for the firefighters).
This year we will share our Christmas Day
with Michelle and Marcel and our grandchildren,
and also Marcel's parents who are visiting from Switzerland.
It should be a very enjoyable day, indeed.
So, may I wish all my blog friends,
a very happy Christmas, and a
safe, healthy and rewarding New Year.
Merry Christmas to you and your family, Alice!

ReplyDeleteAlice, thank you for your kind and sweet comments. I always enjoy visiting your site and going along with you on your journeys.
ReplyDeleteMay you have a wonderful Merry Christmas with your family and friends.
Thank you for your wonderful posts, & friendship Alice.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your Christmas with family.
Now where did all those posts come from??? Seems like just yesterday when I last checked, and it was still the December 11 post referring to Stuart and gardening.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed catching up with you, Alice. Loved the photos of you at your wedding, and appreciated your nostalgia for your old home. The pool looked very refreshing, and the kids would have had a ball.
Wishing you and the family a very happy Christmas and New Year!
Happy Christmas from a frosty Dorset in England. Our family are here too, such good times.
ReplyDeleteSending greetings and warm hugs from a rainy NY. Yes, really, it's been raining here yesterday and today! Most unusual weather for December. I shall keep praying for rain for Aussieland. How nice to have mild weather for Christmas. Enjoy those salads, or whatever you decide to have!
ReplyDeleteI'm still wrapping and frosting!
I wish you and Richard the merriest Christmas dear Alice, with the family gathered 'round. I hope you have a wonderful time together.
With much love,
Kerri xoxoxox
Hello Alice, thanks for your best wishes and the lovely emails. The same to you and your family too for a special Christmas time together. I'm glad I'm not the only one who goes into blog limbo. It's true we need to be able to come and go and pick up where we left off without feeling too bad. Life can be quite busy sometimes, but it's still nice to catch up again. cheers Roy
ReplyDeleteDear Alice...a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you!! I've been very remiss at visiting and commenting blogs lately, with the Christmas preparations I just didn't find the time. Now that things are settling down, I'll have more time for blogging again:-) Much love to you and yours! xox
