Well, not as far north as Tanya, but at least we're in the same State, Queensland. 1600klm so far, through beautiful countryside - most of it very green, too, as there's been good rains along the coast. Such a contrast to the dry, brown countryside we've been looking at for so long.
Hockey results have been mixed - ACT best South Australia yesterday but lost to Western Australia today. Rest day tomorrow and then it's ACT v Tasmania.
We're now spending a couple of nights with my brother and his wife in Noosa Heads, a couple of hours drive north of Brisbane.
I haven't taken too many photos yet, but I'm sure that will change, especially when we get to Townsville.
I hope you all have a wonderful Easter.
OK, that does it. I have got to go and find a good map of Australia and look deeply at it. It shames me to own up to it, but watching Neighbours and seeing Dame Edna and Les Paterson was about the state of my Ozzie knowledge till I started reading here and there in blogdom. Ah - apart from knowing about Tom Roberts the painter (but that is only because he came from Dorset)

Glad you are enjoying your travels!
ReplyDeleteHave a lovely Easter.
How nice to hear from you Alice! I wasn't expecting to see a post....but there you were! I'm glad to hear you're seeing some green countryside. That must be encouraging...or maybe it's making you jealous, knowing your countryside is still so brown. Knowing you, I'm sure you'll enjoy the green.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely time with your brother and his wife.
Go ACT! I hope they win tomorrow!
We had beautiful sunshine today and I did some clean up work in the gardens. We have crocuses blooming!!! And the tree swallows are back!
xoxo
Glad you're having great trip - please say 'hello' to Colin & May. Drove through West Gipps yesterday with Irish visitors - lovely and green so a little rain must have fallen in those places. Rita
