.... I'm not sure that I want to be, especially when I look at the state of my garden - but more of that later. We had a wonderful three weeks - staying with friends, watching hockey, meeting my sister-in-law for the first time and seeing my brother for the first time in about 5 years, and especially spending a week with Tanya in Townsville. It was so good to see where and how she lives, meet some of her friends, and experience some of the places and activities that she enjoys so much. Thank you, Tanya, for a great holiday.
I know you will be disappointed when I say that I don't intend to post all 845 photos....lol. So here are a few from the first couple of days.
Dawn on the day of departure.
Next morning at Taree, on the Manning River.
On the road again.
Lunch stop at Macksville, on the Nambucca River.
The perfect motel at Yamba, on the Clarence River, north coast of NSW.
This is the life!
Yamba Marina.....
....and miles of gorgeous beaches.
Yippee! I'm the first! We've all missed your posts, dear lady.
ReplyDeleteLove the misty first photo, and the humorous photo of the pelican on the light pole in the second. Based on the photo of that motel at Yamba, I'm thinking that might be a good destination for a trip one day.
Welcome back, Alice!
Welcome home. It sounds, and looks, like you had a wonderful holiday....can't imagine why you wouldn't want to post all 800 plus photos....roflmol.
ReplyDeleteWelcome home, Alice! I've been following your progress (though keeping quiet - for once!) Glad you had a happy time away. Sorry your garden looks sad - ours is the same :(
ReplyDeleteWhat I want to know is - when are you going to come out of retirement and follow your true calling as a landscape photographer???! Your photos are so beautiful - the layout, the clarity, the colours. Truly spectacular.
How lovely to have you back Alice! you certainly have been missed. The misty morning is so pretty and oh, that blue, blue water...and the coast, and the beaches, and the sky...it all looks so wonderful! But you only took 845 photos? :) Heavens dear, what were you doing? Love that cute lighthouse. I'm glad you had such a great time and got to spend that wonderful week with Tanya to top it all off.
ReplyDeleteWe had glorious sunshine today and I worked in the garden almost all day. I'm a wee bit achy tonight, but it's a good feeling, knowing I'm achy from gardening :)
xoxoxoxoxo
It's always bitter sweet coming home ... nice to be there, but wishing you were still were you were !!
ReplyDeleteWelcome home.
Loved the photos ... looking forward to more.
Take care, Meow
