.... but not prettier.
Both parents are busy feeding Rose, Ella and Son of Crim now.
As well as their normal fare, they stock up on seed from the birdfeeder which they then regurgitate for the chicks.
Occasionally both parents will be in the birdhouse with the babies. It must be quite crowded in there then.
wow! Great names also, by the way.
ReplyDeleteWhat are their breeding habits? maybe you will have to build more boxes if they return each year?
Awww! Alice, they're gorgeous. Son of Crim indeed! How did he get that name, I wonder...?
ReplyDeleteThey are growing fast! Their parents are good breeders. You will soon see the feathers and they'll be gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteAt least they're recognizable by their beaks now. Cute little fuzzy wuzzy things :)
ReplyDeleteWhere are Mum & Dad when you're photographing their progeny? Do they sit on a nearby branch, preen proudly, and say, "Aren't they just the prettiest babies you've ever seen?"
It's so much fun to watch their progress. Thanks for sharing your grandbirdies!
They are so ugly they are cute to me. I love their beaks and eyes. It must be a very busy place in your yard with the parents trying to feed these growing babies. Thanks for sharing it with us!
ReplyDeleteHow plain they look now! It seems incredible to think they will one day have such glorious colours upon them. I love seeming them, & the progress.
