  1. Thank you so much for these lovely photos, Alice. It's wonderful to see all those gorgeous Aussie birds. It makes me very nostalgic for my birth country. Their amazing colors certainly brighten up a dull day.
That galah is smiling at you :)
Foggy mornings are so pretty, don't you think? We have fog here this morning too.
Sunshine is forecast (with a chance of thunderstorms). I'll be thinking of you as I work in the garden :)

  2. Just tapping into the computer again after a week in Warburton, Vic.

These are stunning photos, Alice. Some lovely misty ones, then the contrast of the bright parrots. What a beautiful environment you live in.

I know Canberra can get very, very cold but there are many advantages to living there aren't there, including the beautiful birds .Wonderful photos.

  4. Those birds are so beautiful!
The wretched Indian Mynah birds have ruined our birdwatching here.

  6. What is the magic inherent in those moments when some wild thing perches near your window, and acts as comfortable as if wearing the dullest feathers? I marvel because when I dress up, I am rarely comfortable! LOL
There is great beauty in the mists of winter too, isn't there.

  8. Beautiful photos. I hope my liriope plants can survive this upcoming winter. If temperatures mirror last year that shouldn't be a problem.

  10. I'd like to have so colourful birds as you have. They can really brighten up a foggy day. From time to time a day with clouds can be quite "cosy" when staying inside...

  12. how wonderful to be able to enjoy those beautiful birds! The only way we could would be if they were in cages. I like your way of watching them much better! You have such wonderful views, flowers and birds in Australia.
