No, we haven't gone overseas again - I just thought I'd post a few more photos here and there.
We spent nearly two weeks in Britain, one week of which was in a delightful cottage in the tiny village of Borth, on the northwest coast of Wales.
Crossing the Severn Estuary between England and Wales.
The beach may not have had golden sands but it had millions of lovely flat rocks that we could have put to good use in our garden on the other side of the world!
We had a little toetip visit to Wales, not anything like the wonderful span of time you enjoyed, but I felt SO at home there.
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely
I'm enjoying your travels via photo!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place that is. It was obviously the height of summer, best time of the year to travel in Europe. Thanks for the photographic tour.
ReplyDeleteAberystwyth is absolutely my favorite place in the world! Did you visit the camera obscura on the top of Constitution Hill? It's the largest in the world.
ReplyDeleteI found your photos on the GardenWeb "Garden Voices" blog. I had never clicked on that link before and I was so surprised to see the Severn Bridge! I lived in Wales for three years and crossing the bridge from England is such a symbolic journey.
I assume you post things about gardens as well ;-) I'll have to check back.

Your photos of Wales make me think of my MIL. Twice during her latter years she made the trip with Ross's oldest sister, Rita and her husband, and found relatives she'd never met before. Her mother was 18when she came over here to live in this area.
ReplyDeleteI'd dearly love to see the picturesque Welsh countryside.
Thank you for sharing your travels with us via these beautiful photos.
