HELP! I'm lost.

That's what happens when I start reading blogs. I start checking those on my links but then like to read the comments, too. I think, "This comment is interesting. I must check out this person's site". Before I know it, one site has lead to another and another, and I wonder, "How did I get here?" I see so many interesting posts along the way that I just want to keep reading, but I know that I have other things to do and I can't sit here for hours.

Blogs provide such a smorgasboard of interesting delights that I become overwhelmed by the choice. I skip around the world from Hobart to Brisbane, from Florida to Canada, from New Zealand to Scotland, and almost everywhere in between. Then I think of a something that I want to read again but I can't remember where it was or how to get there!

HELP!

  2. Yeah, right - Kali. Bet you're tempted when you have your next coffee to just sit down and take a peek for a couple of minutes. It sure is addictive - wonderfully so.

  3. Hi Alice...this happens to me too. so here is what I do. I have my all time favourites that I visit daily ( lots of times daily *LOL*)
then I have another favourites folder of 'blogs that I like' ..when I have time.. I visit there and if I find other blogs by following links then I add them to my favourites... about once a week, I kind of cull , deleting ones that I dont find that much fun....
I am tempted lots to come back and peek.. guess that is why I am way behind my housekeeping

  4. That's a great idea, Robyn, having different folders for the blogs you want to visit at least once a week. You are just so organised that I don't believe for one minute that you are behind with your housework.

Thank you for responding to my call for HELP.

  6. Hello, I just found your blog that way!! I know what you mean. I have sooo many in my favourites and then I get confused as to whether I have looked at them that day or not. It is sooo addictive looking at blogs, there are so many out there. If only there were more hours!

  7. Hi Alice, I think we are all soul mates - we knew each other in previous lives and have come back together in this one...
Kath Red, your comment about your nana's Elna has just added a few grey hairs to my basic blonde. 35 years isn't so old for a sewing machine - well, not for this little Black Duck! I still have the Singer 'Hushmatic' that my Dad bought for me when I started learning how to make my own clothes at the age of 14...and that was 43 years ago!

  8. Hi Alice, I found you from your comment on my blog. I do exactly same--surf from blog to blog and then can't remember where I saw what. I just got home from work and the first thing I did was turn on the 'puter to check out the blogs...I guess there are worse addictions, don't you think?

So that's how I ended up here! LOL! I've already put a link to your site in my 'Blogs' folder, so I can come back and read some more.

  12. Hi, Alice, here I am months later catching up on your blog! I probably won't get to all that I've missed tonight, so I'll just ask you: has anyone told you about RSS feeds and feed readers yet? If not, email me and I'll try to explain. It will help you know who has posted something new.
