Rocks, rocks and more ... seaweed!

If one tires of taking photos of sandy beaches, there is usually a variety of rocks just posing for photos ...

...or people,

...or even seaweed. Posted by Picasa

How glorious and peaceful this place looks. I love rocks! I think my favorite is picture number 4.

Thank you, Sueeeus - yes, it was peaceful the other day, but just wait until the tide is in and the seas are stormy. The sound of the waves breaking onto those rocks can then be heard several miles away. (I think I love it even more then.)

Gorgeous photos. The seashore is my favorite place although the California coast looks quite different than yours.
Thanks for sharing. I'll visit again,(here via Kerri's site)

Lovely photos! Looks like you are having a lovely time. My husband and I plan to go to the coast of Oregon in May. I started my blog right after returning from the Oregon coast a year ago.

Those rock formations give us a picture of the earth as it was forming -- pressure causing the earth's plates to move against each other and push rocks up and up, leaving us with this glorious landscape. Thanks for sharing.

I love these rock photos, but even more I love the way your hubby was such a good sport in posing for these photos!

You certainly have a knack with that camera.

Jelly - I'm not sure if he was posing or in the process of falling off the rock ... lol

Alice, you have a real knack for taking us with you on your expeditions. Thanks for letting us 'see' vicariously through you. You're a whiz with that camera!! I used to LOVE going for walks around the rocks at Whale Beach and other beaches near where I lived. This was such a treat! I especially love the pic with Richard...4th from the bottom, but they're all wonderful. Ross says you're a showoff :)

Thanks for allowing us on this journey with you, Alice. I especially liked the bizarre looking outcrops in the fourth photo from the top.

I too would prefer the beach when the weather is really wild (not including cyclones though!)

Oh Alice...these pictures are just great and you couldn't have pleased me more with pictures of a rocky seashore.
Is that your fanciful hubby perched atop the rock? He looks like he's having fun posing for the picture.
