Up, up and away ....

... in the morning we will fly up to Queensland to spend a week with Russ, Shannon and their little ones, Evelynne and Liam.
It's exactly a month since we farewelled all but Russ at Canberra Airport, and they've had a busy time since then moving into their own home.
I'm sure Liam will have grown quite a lot in that time; Evelynne will have learnt lots more words; while Russ and Shannon have been trying to childproof their yard, paint the house, unpack their belongings, and do a million and one other things.
Hence this visit from Grandma and Grandpa. I'm sure we'll find plenty to keep us occupied, ie, housework, cooking, grandchild minding and cuddling, definitely gardening and maybe even some painting. My gardening gloves and secatuers are already packed.
In spare moments we'll be able to explore the neighbourhood and just relax with this family whom we've seen so rarely in the past few years.

Hope the secateurs aren't in your carry on bags...

Give the little ones (and the big ones) hugs from all of us.

Tanya - that was quick. Secateurs and knitting needles all safely in my check-in luggage.

Will give hugs all round with your names on.

Hope Arlo is feeling better?

How wonderful! I've been hoping and praying that all your loved ones are safe and well.

And a visit, with a brand new little one, AND gardening!! Just right to get the edging and the shaping and all those bulbs down for their naps until next Spring.

Have a lovely visit---I, like Charlie Brown, am immediately in love with that beautiful little red-haired girl.

how wonderful to be able to spend time with your young ones and those gorgeous little people. beware it is darn hot working in the garden. Next week to reach 34. I try to get in the garden at 6:30 for an hour or two before breakfast and some times later in the evening. So now are all your children in Brisbane now? You will be coming regular visitors. Which suburb have Russ and Shannon settled ?
PS When you have finished in their garden come on over to mine with your green thumb.

I hope you're enjoying your time up here in Queensland, but I'm finding gardening is a bit hot and do it in the evenings...which are still pretty warm but at least the sun is not as strong.

What a lovely photo of your family. I hope they enjoy their new home and of course, they'll love seeing you. Have a lovely time but take time out to enjoy yourselves, too.

I don't know if my comments will be approved... just lovely to see your kids back home. I'm sure they're happy to be able to finally settle in their own homes. What memories will they keep of their year in EU?

How lovely it will be to work together with Russ and Shannon, helping them fulfill some of their dreams for their new house. And cuddling those precious kiddies will be the icing on the cake :)
You'll be able to push Evie on the swing :)
I love this sweet photo of the little family.
Don't you and Richard work too hard, dear! xoxo

Alice, Dear,

I SO hope that all is well with you and that you're settling into a cozy Autumn.

I've missed you so much, and just go back and back into all the bright garden pictures now and again, just to keep in touch a bit.

I hope you'll be back soon!
