It did rain - a little.

It did rain just a very little this weekend, but enough to entice me to take a few photos of the clouds, a couple of garden shots and one of my rapidly drying (and dying) lawns. Water restrictions don't allow us to water lawns any more this summer.

I hope all GTS readers will have a very happy Christmas and New Year.

You are so going to miss that water for the lawn- what a pity.
The flowers are a wonderful bit of sunshine for me today dear Alice- our forecast is somewhat dull.
Have a lovely time with hubby this Christmas- l will be thinking of you.
My G. borrowed a projector from his work so the kids and l curl up in the evenings to watch films - is starting to feel a lot like Christmas!!
Much love xx

We are the opposite. We have more water than we need right now. It has rained for months!!! Wish we could share.

Merry Christmas to you Alice. Best wishes!

It's always a bit sad to see our lawns so dry, I'm sure it will bounce back in the Autumn. Do you have a water tank Alice?

Oh Frances, it must break your heart to see the lawn dying. How sad. Will it bounce back in Autmn as Roy says? I do hope so.
Your flowers are so bright and beautiful. We are drab here at the moment. At least when we have snow the countryside looks pretty. We'll have a green Christmas, that's certain (must be a que for a song) :)
I'm glad you had at least a little rain.
I hope you're having a wonderful Christmas Day! xox

Hello Dear Frances....
I was sure that I had already commented here, but I don't see anything. So I will try again. I send you Christmas blessings and peace joy and health throughout the new year. I will answer your mail shortly. Marion

Merry Christmas to you and your family, Francis. No white Christmas for us this year. Instead, we are having the rain that you so desperately need -- wish I could send it there.

Merry Christmas Alice. Our lawn is beginning to fade also. We are only partally restricted.

Guess we will be having to do a rain dance if we want to keep the lawn green this summer.
