WHY would you do it?

This photo was taken at Cape Hauy, Tasmania, by a rock climber and photographer, Simon Carter. My knees go weak just looking at those climbers on that rock, and thinking what might happen if they fell. For more fantastic photos of rockclimbers throughout the world, including many in Australia, visit the Gallery at Onsight Photography

(Click on photo to enlarge - and really go weak at the knees!)

Happy to 'see' you. Hope your Christmas season is filling with delightful blessings.

LOL !!! I'm with you - Why in the world ??? I did seem to climb to the tops of the tallest trees when I was a child.. perhaps they just never lost that sense of adventure. Awesome picture - shows just how forbidding that rock is.

and I still don't get cricket. ;-D

That's amazing...I've repelled off of rock ledges and I really enjoyed it, but never climed a rock like this one. It looks pretty steep.
I never did enjoy the rock climbing as much as the repelling down...that was the thrill for me.
