Ah, winter ....... leafless trees,
fogs and frosts,
clouds and cold,
but .....

Thank goodness for those hardy jonquils, bringing a few blooms into your life mid-winter!

Hope you're enjoying your new heating and staying snug and warm!

I love that fog. And we love winter too. We just got back from the Dandenongs. The city in the distance was just visible through the light mist, and everything smelled so fresh from the rain we've had. I happily changed into my hiking boots because the track was rather muddy.

I looooove the smell of jonquils ... yummy!!
As much as I prefer the warmer weather, like in Spring, the Winter has it's own special beauty.
Take care, Meow

It is somehow funny to think that you have winter and we have - finally, after a very cold and rainy period - summer with 32°C. Fog is so typical here in autumn, and I don't like it. But I like your fog pictures!! So nice that you have flowering jonquils now....this we never have in winter! Have a sunny weekend!

Right now those cool misty pictures look very welcome to me. I am sweltering here in Ohio's heat.

You were writing about winter and I was thinking, this must be an Aussie blog... we left the depths of snow behind not all the long ago and oh too soon it will be back though nary a bloom in site... sigh.

Oh yes, I remember winter.....and I'm not in a hurry for it to return...it just seems so strange that it can be summer here and winter their....

Foggy mornings give a pleasant feeling of being in a cocoon, or something. They're cozy. Your pictures convey that feeling Alice.
We have a light fog here this morning. It's quite common in our summer.
How lovely to have the jonquils blooming. Do they smell wonderful? My mom's always did.
I hope you had a lovely weekend.
