Chinese Garden of Friendship at Darling Harbour

Two wonderful days spent in Sydney this week, mainly to see 'The Lion King', which was every bit as good as everyone says it is, and also do a little sightseeing. Below are photos of the Chinese Garden of Friendship at the southern end of Darling Harbour. A delightfully peaceful oasis in such a busy city.

I remember having a glimpse of this garden when we went on the monorail at Darling Harbour, many years ago. It's lovely to see pictures of it, definitely a must next time we go there.

I'm not sure which photos I like the most, these or the ocean ones. Lucky you to be able to visit such a lovely place. Keep up the good work with the photos. They are almost as good as being there.

I too saw this garden many years ago (end of the 80s) and can't believe it is the same one that is pictured here! It is wonderful, and I'm so sorry I didn't visit it that last time I was in Sydney. When I saw it it was just white stones in a hot sun, hardly any plantings and I don't remember any water. Must go back to visit.
