'A Midsummer Night's Dream'...

... or certainly the dream of some very culturally aware folk in Noosa, Qld. This beautiful amphitheatre has been built in the Noosa Botanic Gardens on the edge of Lake McDonald. Shakespeare plays and other productions are performed here, and it's also a very popular venue for weddings.

What a pretty spot for theatrics! I've been to Noosa, but never knew this was there.

Hope you had a good weekend Alice.

Ah, so there ARE some pretty places around Noosa. It often gets a bad press down here. It's wonderful that there are some people with a bit of vision and community spirit. Even having local parks to walk to is something we should all cherish.

Reminds me of the Minack Theatre in Cornwall UK, and a splendid Roman/Lycian amphitheatre in Kas, in SW Turkey - both with the sea to look at, I wouldnt be able to keep my mind on the plot!!

It would be such fun to watch a Shakespearean play in this gorgeous setting. I've heard from other friends in QLD that Noosa is a lovely place to visit, with lots to see and do.
Your photos are beautiful Alice.
