Impressive Clouds...

... unimpressive result!

One would think that clouds as dark as these would be longing to drop their rain everywhere. Alas, not a drop. I don't know where the clouds went, but went they surely did and took the rain with them.
Let's hope tomorrow's clouds will be more obliging.

But they look so promising! No wonder you were disappointed.

I'm sorry you missed out on the rain again. I'm afraid it was all over here (sorry!). Ross dumped and inch and a quarter out of the rain gauge this afternoon. It poured during most of Friday afternoon and night, and then again this morning, and on and off throughout the day. The skies were very grey, and then this evening the sun popped out from behind the clouds and gave us a glorious sunset, with a bit of blue sky behind it.
Your cloudy skies are much prettier than ours were today.

Hi, Stopping by from Garden Voices.
Great cloud photos...the second photo is especially awesome! Sorry you didn't get any rain from them.

It looks like the temperature was perfect (it's unbearably, stinking hot up here right now), even if the moisture didn't hit the ground - there's gotta be something good out of it all.

Those definitely looked like rain clouds--when they look so promising and don't produce, it's such a downer.

I hope rain is on the way for you. We have been lucky in Tas as it's often too dry in Oct, hopefully it will be a quiet summer re bushfires.. Great photos though. :O)

Whenever I see such clouds I am little bit scared, cos you never know what rage is inside - at least in our part of the world, so dark clouds bring always extraordinary wheather events. I would prefer little more mild ones for rain. I hope you get some rain soon.
Great pictures!
greetings,
