I know there are many bloggers who would be far from excited at waking up to see heavy grey skies, but I can assure you they are very welcome here. We just hope they will deliver their promise - long and steady.

Alice,
Those are some very cool photos -- I love the shape and weight of the clouds. I hope you get the rain you're looking for!

Alice, I thought about you, Stuart, and all of the other Aussie garden bloggers when I read a story in our papers this week about draught in Australia. I hope these clouds did indeed deliver!
Alice, I've been MIA for a while, so I had a LOT to look at, how busy you have been, and what a wonderful eye you have for a picture.
I am glad I am alone, if anybody was to hear my oohs and aahs and sighs as each new picture scrolls up, I am not sure what they would think!
We had those skies here in Queensland just at the end of last week, and they DID deliver - good luck...
Thank you - yet again...
:-)

Alice, I wonder if you did get some rain from those thunderheads?
We got some heavy falls yesterday, but they were fleeting! And rolled on out to sea, so they didnt do much good here on the Coast.
Today is very clear again!
Hi Alice, it was way exciting seeing the clouds, wasn't it. We have had some rain here in Melbourne, with more forecast this avo and tomorrow. Nothing particularly substantial, yet, but my fingers are crossed. Hope your clouds let loose and dumped heaps of water for you all !!
Take care, stay dry, Meow
I can appreciate how exciting these clouds would look to you :) Our skies have been grey for so long that I can barely remember what the sunshine looks like! At least it seems that way. However, the temps have been fairly mild (in the 50'sF/10C), so it could be worse. We are still having rain tonight, with more in the forecast!
Your garden is looking lovely. What's the red flower in the foreground of the 6th picture? And also the tall pink in the other border?
I sincerely hope and pray you got a good rainfall out of those clouds Alice!
Thanks, Kerri. We got 6mm (24 points) of rain. Guess what's forecast for tomorrow - 14ยบ and snow on the nearby Ranges!
Pink flowers in left garden are Centranthus/Valerian and the red in the right garden is actually a dark pink Carpet Rose. Do you have carpet roses over there?
Hi Alice, I can definitely see the gift of grey clouds : ) , its part of why i choose to live in the often cloudy and wet northwest. And your images here are just stunning!
Blessed Week : ) Wendy
