Foxes CAN read!

In a recent post I said that if our visiting fox could read my blog, he would get the message that he had worn out his welcome.

Obviously he was getting mixed messages though -
he saw the WELCOME on the mat and assumed it was for him.

Thankfully, he hasn't visited for several days, except for chasing a rabbit across the front lawn, followed by two magpies and Richard.

Where was I with the camera at that moment?
Sitting at the computer, of course.

Photo taken from inside the house.

Alice, these pictures look like they should be on Cuter Overload or Icanhascheezburger. They are so beautiful. Looks like a little foxboy lost to me!

Marvellous photos.

Blessings and bliss

I've always thought foxes had the most beautiful colored fur. I've seen some people who have hair naturally that color and I'm always envious. Your fox looks peaceful, resting at your doorstep.

That foxy little fox is clever!Looks like he's moved in for the duration! He sure is a little cutey, and matches your mat beautifully!
I'd love to have seen 'the chase'. So who was Richard chasing...the rabbit, the fox, or the magpies? :)
I'm glad you got these great photos even though the computer kept you from photographing the golden opportunity :)

Cute little fellow. I love animals, but I'm afraid I've heard first hand from farmers why they hate them, and what I heard changed my views!

"The Fox went out on a chilly night,
Bayed at the moon to give him light,
For he'd many a mile to go that night,
Before he'd reach the town-o,
Town-o, town-o,
Many a mile to go that night,
Before he'd reach the town-o."

I loved that song, Harry Belafonte, if I recall.
I know they are pests, but he did look so cute & comfortable.

I wonder if he will return.

My daughter (age 8) and I just started reading your blog and she's smitten! She's a huge animal lover and tells me we have to make plans to move to Australia :)
