The Sun DID Rise.

A somewhat different sunrise this morning, but nonetheless interesting. Thick fog 'changes' the landscape so dramatically and lets you concentrate on those things close by.

I assure you the sun is shining.

All in a world of our own.

As someone who lived in the San Francisco Bay Area for 14 years, I do love the fog. Now all you need is the sound of a foghorn (maybe the middle of Lake Burley Griffin?).

Green grass duly noted!

I love the last picture -- the red branches with the green grass showing through. Beautiful pictures.

Hi! The photos that you take are simply gorgeous. What a beautiful morning!

Thanks for visiting my little blog, too. I was pleasantly surprised to receive your comment, as I found your blog through Tanya's last week :) Your advice to me was greatly appreciated.

Fog does give you that "by yourself" feeling doesn't it?

It's rather a cozy feeling, isn't it? It's nice to share your views and weather Alice. That dogwood is pretty with the new green grass behind it. Are those pink flowers stocks? My mum used to grow stocks and I always loved their beautiful scent.
We've been having some foggy mornings too. It usually lifts by 8:00AM.

Lovely garden. Did you select the plant because of its red branches, its foliage, or its flowers?

We do not get fog like that in the midwest! Very Interesting.

Good Morning Alice,
It is 4:46AM here. I'm just up for a short time; at least I hope I will be able to go back to sleep for a while. My blog is http://imagesbybarbaraann.blogspot.com/ of course it will come up when I send my comment.

I do so enjoy your blog. They say a photo is worth a 1,000 words and that is so true. I have the opportunity to see so much of the world I would not get to see by visit with the various blogs. Marlene-barefootsoul is the one who visited my site and got me started.

Alice,

Just checking to see which link comes up this time. I know now I must have clicked on the second user name. It looks like I will need to preview my comments now that I have 2 user names so alike.

Hello Alice.....
Its amazing as well as interesting to compare how our respective hemispheres are changing right now.

I love your foggy photos, particularly the first one where the sun is trying to break thro’.

Here on the west coast of Wales, we don’t get much fog, instead we get sea mists, they can come inland incredibly quickly, completely engulf you and will change the temperature quite dramatically. Marion

Fab pitures Alice! I can see the sun! The fog looks really sinister in the second pic. Oh and your green grass looks really green now, I can imagin how much you must love it! The Cornus is beautiful, this is something I still need in my garden, because I love the red branches in the Winter.
