Through My Window

This was the scene through my kitchen window at 6.30 this morning. Yes, I do like this time of year with fresh new leaves on the decidious trees and a vibrant glow of new life in all the plants, even the grass. Alas, it will only be a matter of weeks before those paddocks (fields) begin to dry off as the grass goes to seed, so I will enjoy it while I can.Posted by Picasa (Click to enlarge.)

What a wonderful view you wake up to!! Looks like Spring has really set in now in your corner of the world...our leaves are already falling so the bushes are starting to look bare instead of colourful now!

As we settle into winter -- bleak and drear -- we can enjoy your beautiful spring, summer and fall. Your pictures always make me feel so peaceful.

Spring leaves are my favorite.. or is it the vibrant fall leaves?? Each season gives me new reason to be excited and grateful. What a wonderful vista for starting your day... beautiful picture, thank you.

AWE...what a lovely view. Alice, you take some of the best pictures I've ever seen. They always look so beautiful. You seem to capture so much with just one picture.

That's not too shabby a vista to take in every morning!

Let's hope there's plenty of rain this summer ....though I hear it's supposed to be hot and dry :( Ah well, more planting of hardy plants, right?!

I love that tree on the left....so full and green!
Do I see Abutilon in the bottom left corner, or is it hibiscus?
You have a beautiful view dear Alice. Try to enjoy it and not think of the continuing drought.
You're like me....I love the Autumn but it makes me sad thinking of the coming winter.
We must learn to live in the moment and enjoy the beauty of each day!

Alice, I have missed your beautiful photos . . . I really must stop by more often. It's such a pleasure when I do. Hope things are well with you and you will have more lovely pictures for us as Spring progresses there and Autumn is up on us here. Take care, Dear Lady.

I hope the drought is not going to be as dire as they are predicting.

Hello Alice ~ A lovely view to greet your day, now if we could just get some rain and keep it there. It is great to watch new leaves and growth, I have a Japanese Maple in my front lawn and theleaves are so dainty and grow so quickly. I love all your photos from your garden and Floriade would be such a lovely thing to see, Have seen it on TV. Thanks so much for your comments about the blind boy poem which teaches us to really SEE the beauty all around us. Take care Alice,
Cheers, Merle.

Hi Alice, your photo is so lovely! I like also this time in spring with the fresh green colour.
In Germany we have Autumn now, it is windy and wet.

One of the beauties of blogging is being able to experience the ever changing seasons in our beautiful world.
Lovely touch of spring!

I just got in from a fall hike in the woods, and now feel like an old woodchuck about ready to find a cozy spot for a long winter nap. Your photo of spring bursting forth was a real pick-me-up and energizer! I can almost hear all the birdsong. By the way, I was just reading that birdsong at dawn is 100 times louder than birdsong at noon.

Isn't it wonderful. New life. A lovely summer to anticipate after a cold hibernation. We are seeing blossoming, seedlings delicately spring up, tender young leaves streaching out for the sun. Lovely.
I love spring!

Hi Alice, do you spend a LOT of time gazing out of this window? I just bet you do...

I am inspired to try and get a photo of the big silky oak I have in my backyard, the colours at the moment are a mix of old yellow and new green, I must see what I can do, thank you.

It's me again, I just looked at your slideshow and I have never seen such beautiful skies....if I lived there and took those pictures I would blow them up to a 8x10 and frame them.....the ones with the sunset and black trees in front of it are out of this world.. Really, we have people around here that do that and the people buy them up...and yours are greater than any I have seen...honest......Good Job! I think you could sell them on Getty Images.....
