Show Time

Bungendore is a small town of about 2000 people some 20 minutes drive from Canberra. Today was Show Day. For such a small place they put on an excellent show featuring alpacas, cattle, dogs, rabbits, horses, goats, poultry, snakes, sheep, a farmyard nursery, craft and produce, including vegetables, cakes & biscuits, and beer. There was the usual collection of sideshows, stalls, and fun for the kids. Whilst the number of entries was relative to the population, the quality was very good. Congratulations, Bungendore.

There is nothing better than a country show, and this one seems to be thriving. Poor Richard does look in desperate need of a cuppa - I hope he got a scone too.

PS Where are the pictures of you dear Alice - Richard and the children are stealing the show...lol.

What fabulous pictures. Thank you for posting them. Aren't digital cameras wonderful? The pictures of all the animals were great, and I especially liked the one with the quilting.

Good show. Almost like being there (except for the smells and sounds)

Love the horses and sheep. The dog people are always the best for entertainment. Nothing like a country fair.

Thanks so much Alice for taking us all to the show. It really is just like being there. Your pictures are so wonderfully alive! Love the cattle and other animals. Ross will be so interested to see those cows. I love craft shows, but that's another story! As Calidore said....where are the pics of you??

Hi Alice... Loved my visit to Bungendore Show (great name too). It was good to enlarge the craft stall and take a closer look, some nice tapestry work there. Marion

Fabulous photos and thanks for the virtual tour. I wish you could just beam me up and I'd be there for a visit in person. Susan
