how fascinating to see what for us would be early spring bloom along with late summer stuff. for us forsythia is a very early spring flowering shrub while lavateria would just be coming into its own in August -- the end of our summer. you have a beautiful garden!

Already your flowers are beautiful. Mine will be withering up soon.....for it will be the beginning of fall on next Sat...
Gardening sure does take up alot of time and this year I took a year off....I read on my deck more than I worked in my garden....my yard is natural look, but even that need maintenance.... Thanks for sharing your flowers with us....

The colour of that wallflower 'Winter Joy' is stunning Alice and thats a very healthy looking Grevillea (looks like G. Rosaminafolia) I bet the honeyeaters love it. We visited a native open garden a couple of weeks ago and the owner had 200 different Grevilleas. Everything is looking beautiful. Enjoy the spring!

So many lovely flowers already! As Kati said, only a couple of these would be spring flowering for us. My mum used to grow your variety of primulas and I've always loved them. Haven't seen that one in this zone. I didn't grow calendulas this year. Had them last year and loved their bright faces. They bloomed late in the summer because I planted the seeds late. Your osteospermums really grow like crazy, don't they? I guess they like it hot. Last year mine did much better than this season's, but this year's were still pretty. I had orange wallflowers in the vege garden. I love the CA poppies...I love them all! Happy spring to you Alice dear!
