SORRY FOLKS ....

... BUT THIS NEW BLOGGER PROGRAM IS THE BIGGEST LOAD OF RUBBISH EVER DEVISED.
I'M TOTALLY FED UP WITH IT AND CONSEQUENTLY WILL BE TAKING A VERY LONG BREAK FROM BLOGGING - POSSIBLY A PERMANENT ONE.

Oh, no!!!!!

I have just (tonight) changed over...is it really so bad? I don't want to know.

Enjoy your break but please at least consider coming back, won't you?! You know you would be missed by so very many people.

Jelly - I really don't know why I'm having all these problems. The changeover was easy enough but usually I have to login about 5 times in order to do anything and half the time I have to have several goes at leaving a comment on anyone's blog who hasn't changed over. But photos are even worse. They seem to load alright but often 'drop out' after a short time, eg. cannot be viewed or opened. The whole thing is so erratic that I could scream.

I will keep checking blogs from time to time and, hopefully when the program improves, or I find out why it's working so badly for me, I will return.

Thank you, Jelly, for your encouragement. I hope it works smoothly for you.

Why don't you change to WordPress (www.wordpress.org). You'll have to purchase a domain name and hosting but there are some very cheap options for that eg. www.dotable.com (an Australian host).

It will be a pain to convert everything over but once your done wordpress is a breeze to work with and there are so many great plugins to improve your blog.

The worst problems have been recent, since they have started forcing everyone to switch. I'm hoping the problems are temporary but if not I'll be looking to switch to wordpress. They do have a free version with free hosting. I'd hate to see you quit altogether.

I can understand your discouragement. It's very frustrating, I know, when you can't get the pictures to load. I hope you'll decide to persevere when and if you find a solution to the problem (or the Blogger people manage to improve things). You know how many of us can't bear the thought of losing you and your lovely blog Alice!!!!
I'm sure things will improve...meanwhile, keep your chin up (hugs).

Alice...I had the same problem (& still do). The change was easy but I have a difficult time leaving comments. I hope that they one day work out all the bugs and I'm really glad that you didn't stop blogging. THANKS KERRI.

I've never seen a dead seahorse before...Well, I must take that back!!! All of the seahorses I have ever seen have been stiff and sandy colored, so I guess they were dead, since they were mounted in collages and such. Your dead seahorse really looks like it was once alive because of it's coloring.

I hope that by now the blogger problems are better for you.
