It's WET and COOL !!!

Well, it's not that wet yet, but we keep hoping. It's definitely cooler. I hope the areas where fires are burning receive drenching rain. Seven cars were destroyed by fire in one area - all belonging to volunteer firefighters. How unfair is that?

I know there will be more heat to come but at the moment I am thankful for the cool change.

Maybe the heat is meant to make us appreciate the cooler weather! It's cooler here, too, thank goodness.

I hope you get a good drenching there for your garden, and for the fires.

Oh rain for the new Year! How wonderful for you! I've just seen in the news that there are bush fires again near Sidney, hopefuly it'll rain there too!

Enjoy it while you can! It has rained pretty well non stop here for weeks! Rain, rain, rain. Very windy also. I have to admit though I would rather have rain than 43c. I just can't handle really hot weather.

We were just watching the news on the fires. What devastation.Too bad we can't send some rain up your way.

I immediately thought of you when I heard about the fires around Canberra. I'm glad that you and your home are ok. Yes, rain would be so lovely, especially since 30% of my garden has now shrivelled up beyond recognition, and I'm not allowed to water! Oh, dear, I'll be praying for it - for you and your kind in the fires, and for me and my little attempt to create my own private paradise!

Glad to hear you got much needed rain. Your gardens look lovely despite the drought conditions. Keep it up! I have neither snow nor green here in New Jersey. Just dreary browns: dead leaves, dead gardens, dead grass.
