More on Worms ...

Kerri sent me this great link about worms http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Earthworms Some really interesting information, especially about how they actually turn garden rubbish and vegetable matter into the most wonderful fertilizer around. Thank you very much, Kerri.

I was going to send this RHS link to you yesterday, but then got a bit busy. I see that Kerri had the same idea. Anyway, I’ll let you have it for some extra reading.
I’m an avid composter and very happy to see these red pinkish worms in my compost bins turning all that garden & kitchen waste into lovely friable stuff that can be recycled back into the garden. I call it ‘black
gold’ and the good thing is, its all for free. Brilliant! Our friendly robin loves these worms too! Its all in nature’s rich cycle isn’t it! Marion

You're welcome Alice. I was thinking about how so many (seemingly) insignificant things in life can set your mind wondering...like worms :) You have an extremely curious mind! Curiosity is a wonderful thing...even if it did kill the cat :)

Here's a quote I read on that site about worms yesterday...1881 Charles Darwin wrote:

I guess earthworms aren't so insignificent!
