"Sophie Gone Home"

Broadly smiling, 5 year-old Sophie Delezio stood up and walked out of hospital yesterday on her two little prosthetic feet. She was wearing a beautiful pink dress, little red slippers and the biggest smile and sparkling eyes you ever saw. Just five weeks after being run down by a car and critically injured, this amazing little girl with superhuman courage, is back home with her family.

In the past two and a half years, Sophie has undergone 31 operations and there will be many more to come in future years, but she is an absolute inspiration to all who know her or read about her incredible life thus far.

We continue to wish Sophie good health and happiness, and the joy of living the life any little girl hopes for.

She certainly is an inspiring little girl. I hope and pray all goes well for Sophie and her family now that this latest ordeal is over...or at least the hospital stay. She's a real little trouper.
Thanks for the update Alice.

That little girl can teach a lot of us adults about courage and strenght of character!! I don't even know her but reading about her made my heart swell up with pride and love.

our children teach us what life is all about.

God bless her! If only we adults could have even half of the courage, trust, and positive attitude that this little five year old must have. I hope blessing after blessing comes her way now, after all she has been through.
